When the footsteps and heartbeats align, and sweat mingles with dreams, the 400-meter outdoor track of Dingwen came alive with the epic tale of youth on April 3. Students from different grades at Dingwen demonstrated unity and hard work through sports, writing their own legends through action.
Sports are an integral and vital part of an international education. They not only build physical fitness but also foster teamwork, competitiveness, and perseverance. At Dingwen, sports serve as a universal language, bridging cultural and linguistic gaps. They help students build friendships, boost self-confidence, and learn respect and tolerance. Aligning with Dingwen’s values of "Passion, Dream, Courage, and Collaboration," sports teach our students that physical exercise is just the beginning. They learn cooperation in competition, perseverance in challenges, and understanding in diversity.
The sports day set up track running, jump rope, throwing whizzball, standing long jump, obstacle race, ball challenge, relay, tug-of-war and other projects. Each field was full of passion and vigor. On the track, students sprinted like arrows, racing to the finish line and showcasing their speed and enthusiasm. On the field, every time a new record was set, the applause never ceased. Whether in individual or team competitions, the students gave their all to compete and win.
There were also volunteers from Dingwen who provided all-around support to the teachers and participants, from setting up the venue to maintaining order and distributing materials. It is worth mentioning that a bilingual broadcasting station was set up for the games, with volunteers acting as announcers, broadcasting the progress of the event, the styles of the players, and warm tips to the audience in both Chinese and English in real-time, which highlighted the international atmosphere of Dingwen.
One of the highlights of the games was the active participation of teachers and parents. In the "Teacher-Student-Parent Fun Race," teachers and parents formed teams to participate in tug-of-war, sprint relay, and other events. On the field, teachers changed their usual serious image and ran and jumped together with parents and students, displaying a different side of themselves. Parents said that such activities not only enhanced the interaction between home and school, but also let them feel the warmth and vitality of the school.

The 2025 Dingwen Spring Sports Day was successfully concluded with a lot of laughter.
